JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient pediatric therapy team. The COTA will collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans for children with developmental delays, sensory processing differences, neurological conditions, and other special needs.
Pediatric experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and passionate about helping children achieve meaningful participation in their daily lives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in alignment with established goals
- Accurately document treatment sessions, progress, and patient response in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with families regarding home programming and progress updates
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (OT, PT, SLP, and support staff) to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain compliance with state practice acts, ethical standards, and organizational policies
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and clinic initiatives
- Regular and consistent attendance
This role is intended to be flexible and adaptive. Any and all duties as assigned over time may be required to support organizational needs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure (or eligible for licensure) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Current CPR Certification, or ability to become certified
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Special needs experience a plus
