Description
- Training, coaching, motivating and leading others. This includes new members as well as more experienced members in learning our business and processes as it continually evolves and grows. Duties performed below are expected to be at a superior level, and inspection and training of others to do the same.
- Must comply personally and lead others to abide by all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Able to read and use a tape measure.
- Uses hand tools, crimpers, soldering irons, wire strippers, and other hand and power tools.
- Reads wiring diagrams, blueprints, wire routing, and engineering specifications to determine lengths, types, routing, and gauge of wiring and cables to be installed.
- Selects specified wires and cables, routes according to instructions, and fastens connections by bolting, screwing, soldering, or plugging, using wrenches, and screwdrivers.
- Wires, installs terminals, and marks wires.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good communications skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Demonstrated positive leadership skills
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds. More with help.
- Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, and overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
- Ability to operate various shop tools (including power and manually operated).
- Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly
