Salary Range: The compensation pay range for this role is $50,000-55,000.

The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning, is a nationally recognized professional development and educational services organization dedicated to better teaching and learning in early childhood, elementary, secondary and adult education.
Our focus is on education professionals who serve distressed and at-risk populations — children at risk of academic failure, young children with special needs, students from linguistically and culturally
diverse backgrounds, refugees and immigrants. We also serve professionals that work with adults who seek to advance their position by obtaining U.S. citizenship, a GED, improved language skills, or basic skills needed to hold and advance from service jobs.
Position Description – What the Role Entails:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 3–5 through large group, small group, and individual instruction, differentiating based on student needs and learning goals. Create and maintain a high-quality, safe, and culturally/linguistically responsive classroom environment that meets ECERS-3 standards and integrates technology into both instruction and assessment. Utilize formal and informal assessment tools to monitor student progress, inform instructional decisions, and support the development and implementation of IEP goals when necessary. Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication, conferences, and parent-child activities, and collaborate with bilingual staff to support multilingual learners and ensure effective communication with all families.
- This role reports to the Team Leader.
Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing:
- Follow ECDEC and school district policies and procedures.
- Complete paperwork and submit data when requested by administrators, as well as all personnel paperwork as required by The Center, including but not limited to time cards and leave forms.
- Collaborate and interact positively and effectively with paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, other personnel and parents.
- Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities, school and program meetings and trainings.
- Participate in on-going professional development.
- Continuously engage in best practices and uphold standards of a high quality early childhood program.
- Demonstrate professionalism.
- All other duties assigned.

The Center’s Work Environment – What to expect:
- You will be on site at your assigned school, and you will have a hands-on role in the classroom.
- You will need to assist children the classroom and support their learning environment (sitting, standing, movement activities, etc.).
Schedule:
- This position is for 10 months and may be renewed, depending on funding for the following school year.

Position Qualifications – What is required to Perform the Role:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Endorsement.
- English as a Second Language and/or Bilingual Endorsement (or coursework towards endorsement).
- Early Childhood and Special Education Approval.
- Interest and/or experience working with at-risk and students with special needs; experience with diverse populations is a priority.
- Strong commitment to professional excellence
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
