About the Job

The Commercial Appliance Technician performs all repair and maintenance duties for PEAK rental appliances.  The Commercial Appliance Technician diligently and expertly troubleshoots, uses diagnostic tools, performs preventative maintenance, and ensures safety and operational efficiency. 


What You’ll Do

  • Examine equipment and identify the cause of breakdowns
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on various LPG and electric appliances to ensure proper operation and longevity
  • Diagnose root cause and fix equipment malfunctions
  • Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and causes of malfunctions
  • Provide repair estimates to management on damaged or malfunctioning equipment
  • Repair or replace defective or damaged components
  • Pull and pack appliance rental orders
  • Adhere to OSHA safety standards and always maintain a safe work environment
Requirements

  

What You Bring

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Efficiency using various hand and power tools.
  • The ability to use various test equipment such as multimeters and leak detectors
  • The ability to lift heavy objects.

Nice to Have 

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software experience is a plus
  • National Appliance Service Technician Certification is preferred

Salary Description
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience
