Hess Services, Inc. is seeking a Rigger to support safe and efficient lifting operations across our job sites and facilities. This role is essential to ensuring loads are properly prepared, secured, and communicated during crane and hoisting operations. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Checks all equipment fluid levels and takes tanks off of pads and sets them on the ground.
  2. Moves/loads VHT tanks and sheds, concrete pads, steel and fiberglass tanks. Unloads trailers as necessary. 
  3. Cleans out tool boxes on trailers. 
  4. Inspects, cleans and washes equipment. 
  5. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures materials and equipment at end of day.
  6. Regular attendance and timeliness. 
  7. Performs additional duties as needed. 
Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Manufacturing background help with equipment operating experience preferred. 
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents. 
  5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  7. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to use hand and power tools.
  10. Ability to use department equipment.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Subject to heights up to 20 feet.
  2. The work environment is usually an outdoor setting requiring the employee to work in extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is frequently high.
