Parts Supplier / Logistics Specialist

Location: Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, PA

Position Overview 

EHS Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Supplier / Logistics Specialist to support operations at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. This position plays a critical role in supporting Navy maintenance and sustainment efforts by reviewing replacement requests, identifying appropriate suppliers, and coordinating procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of mechanical and electrical components.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with engineers, commercial vendors, and multiple online systems to research part information, resolve sourcing challenges, and improve overall procurement efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process incoming requests for mechanical and electrical replacement parts. 
  • Collaborate with Navy engineers to identify correct part numbers, specifications, and sourcing requirements. 
  • Research and identify qualified commercial suppliers and manufacturers. 
  • Coordinate procurement activities to support timely acquisition of required components. 
  • Utilize multiple online systems, databases, technical catalogs, and procurement tools to support sourcing efforts. 
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to obtain product information, availability, lead times, and pricing. 
  • Track and monitor procurement actions to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve sourcing, procurement, and workflow processes. 
  • Assist in resolving part identification, obsolescence, and supply chain challenges. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sourcing and procurement activities. 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze technical information related to mechanical and electrical components. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with computers and web-based systems. 
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with engineers, suppliers, and customer representatives. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance is preferred, ability to obtain security clearance required.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management, procurement, purchasing, or parts sourcing. 
  • Familiarity with mechanical or electrical components and technical documentation. 
  • Experience supporting Navy, Department of Defense, or industrial maintenance environments. 
  • Experience working with supplier databases, ERP systems, or procurement platforms.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED. Prior experience in Navy ERP systems a plus, must currently have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
