The BIM Coordinator, BIM Services Group, Production is a trusted member of the BIM services group’s production arm, responsible for assisting with the set-up, ongoing maintenance and issuance of all BIM projects company-wide. Reporting to the Assistant BIM Manager, BIM Services Group, Production, the BIM Coordinator assists with the implementation of project set-ups, updates, and issuances, with the upkeep of departmental standards, and with the execution of project scanning, filing, and archiving. The BIM Coordinator also assists in supporting the department’s function as a training center for employees.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-6 years of professional experience and/or 4-year degree or an associate degree in engineering, architecture or similar industry.
- Eager to support staff with a positive attitude, passion and patience.
- Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Proactive approach to learning new technology software.
- Intermediate interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Utilize skills to fit MGE’s IT infrastructure and standards as necessary.

Expectations
Trade-Specific Competency - For BIM Services Group - Level 2 (Intermediate Proficiency)
- Create initial AutoCAD & Revit project setup and updates and prepare for the design production team.
- Support team members with creation of Revit families, view templates, work sets, shared parameters and tags.
- Demonstrated ability to competently update models and run coordination review tool for revisions.
- Assist in creating BIM/Revit technical documents.
- Assist with 3D Modeling for marketing MEP design projects using Modeling Software like Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Twinmotion.
