Description
The Ecoat Team Lead supports 2nd shift production operations by coordinating the activities of employees that run load, unload and carousel. This position ensures safe, consistent output that meets daily schedules, quality standards, and customer expectations. The Group Lead serves as a working leader—training, troubleshooting, and keeping communication flowing between team members and supervision.
Requirements

- Oversee day-to-day performance of weld and assembly/count work centers on 2nd shift and learn Plex.
- Verify operators follow proper machine start-up, safety, and quality procedures.
- Monitor equipment, part counts, and process flow to prevent downtime and bottlenecks.
- Perform first-piece verification and periodic quality checks for weld integrity, assembly fit, and labeling accuracy.
- Train new operators on machine operation, part handling, quality inspection, and documentation.
- Communicate schedule changes, production goals, and performance issues to the team.
- Coordinate material staging, finished goods movement, and part identification accuracy.
- Assist with minor troubleshooting or adjustments to machines, escalating major issues to maintenance or engineering.
- Complete and verify shift production reports, counts, scrap logs, and rework tracking in Plex.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards throughout assigned work centers.
