As an Energy-Focused Engineered Wood Territory Representative, you will help drive innovation, sustainability, and integrity through education and influence--ensuring our members' products are utilized to their fullest potential. This is your opportunity to combine technical expertise with relationship-building and make a lasting impact on energy-efficient building practices.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted resource for builders, designers, and code officials.
- Support energy policy and code development through research, analysis, and advocacy.
- Educate and train industry professionals on engineered wood products and energy-efficient applications.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in your territory.
- Represent APA at committee meetings, hearings, and trade shows.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, building science, forestry, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in building science, energy codes, or structural/engineered wood products.
- Knowledge of national building and energy codes (IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, IRC, IBC) and green building standards.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (20-30%).
