Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Specialist In-Training is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are
building foundational job and technical skills. Under the supervision of the Sr. Operations Manager,
team members in this role are trained in all aspects of the soap production process, from preparing
materials to packaging finished products, while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive,
team-oriented environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their confidence,
develop workplace habits, and gain experience in manufacturing and production settings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Assist with maintenance and operational repairs.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Clean360 factory at all times
? Learn to set up and operate production machinery following safety and quality standards
? Assist with machine calibration and ensure proper startup procedures are followed
? Follow work orders to identify materials and batch requirements
? Measure and prepare ingredients for production
? Support quality control processes and monitor product consistency
? Practice proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods
? Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries and inventory
? Prepare cartons, crates, and packaging materials and ensure safe packing of products
? Inspect products for quality and report any defects or irregularities
? Report any machinery issues or concerns to the supervisor/
? Assist with preventative maintenance under supervision.
? Participate in training and coaching workshops related to job readiness.
? Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Factory Supervisor and/or Sr. Operations Manager.
? Participate in department and organization meetings and trainings, as required.
Competencies:
? Willingness and ability to learn technical building maintenance skills.
? Must be willing to learn trade skills from other team members.
? Valid CA drivers license and clean driving record.

? Ability to travel between Roots’ sites.
? Ability to work occasional evening and/or weekend events.
