Description

The Director of Online Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, and growth of the online MAC degree program. This role will provide direction and vision to the MAC product team and bring synergy to functional departments involved in program operations and success. This role serves as the primary liaison for the collaborative relationship between Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS) and the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) for the MAC program.

 

Duties and responsibilities


1. (30%) Manage the operations of the MAC program through oversight of cross-functional team collaboration (Admissions, Student Success, Spiritual Care, Learning Experience, and MarComm teams). This includes the development of a highly motivated and highly productive product team and culture, both individually and as a unit. 

  • Set program vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop strategies and execute initiatives to enhance program quality, reputation, and traction based on program data.
  • Oversee financial progress and reporting in coordination with the Finance Department.

2. (25%) Drive the growth of the MAC program by implementing initiatives aimed at increasing student enrollment, satisfaction, retention, and overall participation.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Admissions, and Core Advisory teams for creative marketing campaigns alongside student and alumni engagement efforts.
  • Represent and promote the MAC at strategically selected conferences and biblical counseling-focused events.
  • Collaborate with the Student Success and LX teams to maintain high student satisfaction (NPS and CSAT) and retention rates.

3. (20%) Drive robust online community engagement for the MAC using digital platforms or local events to foster interaction, support, and collaboration among students, faculty, and alumni across the globe.


4. (15%) Oversee the collaborative relationship between WTS and CCEF for the administration, growth, and evaluation of the MAC.

  • Manage the contractual relationship between both parties, ensuring compliance with institutional, local, and national regulations.

5. (10%) Report progress and updates to leadership, the board, and other stakeholders.

6. Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by Senior Director or Senior Team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred (Westminster Master of Arts in Counseling and/or Master of Divinity strongly preferred)
  • Record of successful managerial leadership experience and/or business education preferred
  • Familiarity with higher education industry
  • Familiarity and appreciation for seminary’s mission, theology, and instruction; familiarity with CCEF and biblical counseling

Working conditions

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This is a full time, exempt position. This job requires the ability to manage repeated tight deadlines, high stress, public-facing projects that demand attention to detail, and ability to work with many stakeholders on various projects.

This job may be remote, but occasional visits to campus and several overnight trips throughout the year for conferences, etc. are required.
