Description
The Supply Chain Intern will assist and collaborate with the various managers within Supply Chain (Materials Manager, Master Scheduler, and Procurement Manager). The Supply Chain Intern will help balance daily workload while managing priorities assigned to them.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform data integrity tasks as assigned
- Assist with part number creation and maintenance of item and procurement cards.
- Assist with Sterility Program maintenance.
- Assist with Change Management System.
- Assist with supplier scorecards and SMR’s and RDF’s.
- Identify and/or support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve inventory levels, lower lead times, and accelerate speed to market.
- Maintain accurate, PO costing on all stock products and communicate all changes in costs to department management.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of the vendor file maintenance.
- Assist with MRO buying responsibilities.
- Work directly with Supply Chain staff on special projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Detail Oriented
Requirements
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Current College Student in either Supply Chain or Business-related fields
- 0-3 years of experience in a business support role
