Supervisor: Bartender Supervisor 

Department: Food & Beverage 

Type: Seasonal, November to End of Season, some Summer Events

Position Overview: Mix and serve beverages and food to guests. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks based on customer orders.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of different types of spirits, wines, beers, and mixers.
  • Ensure all customers are of legal drinking age.
  • Prepare bar of opening / closing and perform any of the bar employees functions.
  • Deliver food to guests, clear / clean tables, replenish glassware, stock garnishes / supplies, stock bar refrigerators, ice, and change kegs.
  • Clean and sanitize cutting boards, work surfaces, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift. Provide an engaging and safe customer experience through friendly and efficient service.
  • Accurately process and keep cash count, credit card, gift card, and other transactions.
  • Follow all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relations.
  • Maintain a clean environment in compliance with state and federal laws and, local sanitary, safety, and health standards, and all procedures and protocols to comply with the law.
  • Perform the job and get along with others to build a positive working environment.
  • Conduct and coordinate on-the-job training for department staff. 
  • Show up to work on time with consistent attendance.
  • Physically perform the essential job functions of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors:

  • Constant exposure to heat and hot surfaces, sharp items, and scalding liquids.
  • Face-to-face interactions with the general public
  • Walking, bending, rotating, walking up / downstairs frequently.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs frequently.
  • Frequently lifting to waist level of 80 lbs. or more, above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
  • The working environment may be stressful when meeting public demands and staffing needs.
  • Continuous interaction with guests.

Education / Experience:

  • Current Washington State Health Card.
  • Current WSLCB Class 12 Mixologist permit.
  • One year bartending experience preferred.
  • Valid Washington Driver License.
  • Background check.
Salary Description
17.13 - $17.50 / hour
