Child Focus is seeking a caring and dedicated Head Start Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow.

The Assistant Teacher will help implement a research-based curriculum, engage children in meaningful learning experiences, and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth. This is a great opportunity for an early childhood professional who enjoys working with children and families and wants to make a meaningful difference in the community.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the teacher in implementing a research-based curriculum.
• Engage positively with children through play, learning activities, and daily classroom routines.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining classroom materials and learning activities.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and grow.
• Support the teacher in meeting the individual needs of children and families.
• Work cooperatively with teachers and other team members.
• Assist with light classroom cleaning and organization.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

• Has previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program.

Position Details

Location: Head Start location in Clermont County
Schedule: Full-time, seasonal
Program Schedule: Classroom operates August through May

Education Requirements

Required:  CDA or Associate Degree required, with the Associate Degree preferred
