The Winter Barista at Bogus Basin helps guests with all transactions within the Food and Beverage department involving the Espresso cart operation during the winter operational season.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Winter Barista, you’ll provide excellent beverage service, operate the Espresso cart efficiently, and ensure every guest receives friendly, professional, and accurate service. You’ll manage transactions, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean, welcoming work environment.


A Day in the Life

You’ll start your shift preparing the Espresso cart and coffee equipment, then serve coffee and espresso drinks to guests throughout the day. You’ll process cash and card transactions accurately, maintain stocked supplies, clean your workspace, and assist guests with any questions or special requests.


Essential Functions of the Job

  • Quickly and efficiently prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks that meet quality standards.
  • Accurately and efficiently process guests’ transactions using POS terminals.
  • Help maintain stocking levels for all sale items including prepackaged food items.
  • Assist with cleaning the Espresso cart areas.
  • Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
  • Assist guests with questions or concerns, seeking help from a supervisor or manager when needed.
  • Resolve cash tills and perform all check-out functions daily.
  • Properly maintain and handle all equipment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job

  • Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions or situations.
  • Attend assigned training sessions.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary.


Requirements

What You Bring to Bogus Basin

  • Passionate about Bogus Basin’s mission.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and balance for long periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle cash and operate POS and coffee equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask accurately and efficiently.
  • Availability to work mid-October through mid-May.
