Sawtooth Concepts is looking for a Cabinet Drafter to create detailed drawings for construction projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Create submittal drawings, production shop drawings, and installation drawings
  • Process projects through the software system “Cabinet Vision”
  • Provide material, hardware, and finish drawings for production
  • Coordinate drafting tasks based on the production schedule
  • Optimize yields and order materials based on specifications and timelines
  • Work with estimating to provide material, hardware, and finishing costs
  • Program moderately complex details for CNC processing
  • Regularly communicate with Manager, Estimator, Production, and Project Manager to coordinate product drawings, maintain schedules, meet deadlines, and resolve issues
  • Contribute to and maintain a product library of standard designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare the drafting schedule and adjust based on priorities
  • Work with Production and Installation to resolve issues with production items
  • Contribute to the development of improved processes and workflow systems from shop drawings to fabrication
  • Participate in cabinet production, construction, and installation as needed
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

We're Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of experience using CAD or CAM in a cabinetry, woodworking, or similar environment
  • Professional in Project Management (PPM) or similar certification preferred
  • Knowledge of CAD / CAM and woodworking industry software
  • Knowledge of millwork construction methods
  • Knowledge of building materials and hardware for commercial and residential cabinetry
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of specifications and architectural drawings.
  • Strong time management and work prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. safely throughout the facility repeatedly
