Description

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers and other machinery used in plumbing, plumbing construction, grading, earthwork and site preparation. 

  • Operate Machinery: Drive and control heavy equipment using levers, switches, and pedals to dig, grade, load, and clear land.
  • Inspect Equipment: Perform daily safety checks, fluid checks, and walk-arounds before and after use.
  • Perform Maintenance: Clean equipment, grease moving parts, and complete minor repairs or report major issues to a supervisor.
  • Follow Safety Rules: Adhere to all site safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and signals from other crew members.
  • Read Plans: Interpret blueprints, site plans, or grade stakes to ensure accuracy


   


Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior hands-on experience operating construction or industrial machinery.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Coordination: Excellent hand-eye-foot coordination and spatial awareness.
  • License: Valid driver's license, with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required. Certification in heavy equipment preferred.  Able to be certified by company Safety Officer.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Operators will be required to have or get a Plumber’s Apprentice card  

     

Salary Description
Salary Range $20.00 - $25.00
