Description

Homemakers Furniture is looking to hire a Returns Specialist in our warehouse.  This position requires physical work including heavy lifting, assembly, and being able to on your feet for an 8-hour shift.


Pay: $20 per hour

Schedule: Will include both weekend days in regular schedule.


Job Description

As a returns associate, you will be responsible for providing customer assistance for returned or exchanged products, ensuring outstanding customer service by processing all returns and exchanges quickly, accurately, and efficiently—and with a smile. It will also be up to you to assemble products and move them to and from our clearance center.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with returns and exchanges.
  • Key returns/exchanges in the computer system
  • Assist with delivery truck returns including inspecting returned product.
  • Assemble/open product for the clearance center including using power tools and hand tools. 
  • Tag product going to the clearance center.
  • Stock clearance center with product. Pull sold items from the sales floor.
  • Re-wrap sold product or returned product.
  • Perform additional duties and functions as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work long hours as business needs
  • Working knowledge of operating heavy machinery (age appropriate, i.e.: forklift and certified) and operating hand tools
  • Computer knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Neat and organized
  • Follow up on and make sure assigned projects are completed 
  • Warehouse experience a plus

Physical Expectations

  • Sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Bending, lifting and walking frequently 
  • Push and pull objects
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and more with assistance 
  • Environmental Conditions
  • Will work indoors and outdoors
  • Conditions may include hot/cold temperatures, dusty surroundings and noisy work environment
