Description
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Using various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
- Measuring, marking, and arranging materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Cutting and shaping structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
- Ensuring the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production/facility equipment.
- Maintaining and repairing all stages of the building, parking lot (mowing/snow removal), and equipment such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, such as fuses and switches.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in general construction/carpentry is required.
- Must be able to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to travel when required
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, push, pull, squat; have full range of motion and use of arms and legs
- Ability to effectively use hand tools
- Ability to work additional hours as required
- Ability to work efficiently within a team
- Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver’s license (part of the responsibilities may be to drive a company vehicle)
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
