A SACMI Closure Line/Blow Mold Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of high-speed compression molding (CCM), lining, and automated production equipment. The role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and lubrication tasks on all production equipment (CCM machines, chillers, compressors, etc.) to minimize downtime and extend machinery life.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and systems to identify potential problems before they escalate into major failures.
- Use predictive maintenance tools (like SACMI's Alarm Analyzer) to monitor machine health and analyze alarm trends.
- Respond rapidly to emergency breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions during production.
- Performs preventive maintenance on blow molders, conveyors, palletizers, strappers, and wrappers
- Dismantle, repair, or replace broken or malfunctioning components, including drives, motors, belts, pumps, and valves.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic issues, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and control systems (PLCs, sensors, etc.)
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Troubleshoot electrical control and distribution systems to include 24vac, 120vac, 277vac and 480vac controller and monitor control systems.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Fabricates and welds basic steel projects.
- Rebuilds sub-assemblies to OEM specifications
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Must be able to visually inspect machines
