Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available 

Wage: $23.03-$24.66

Location: Madison County

The Employment Support Professional supports individuals with disabilities to identify employment goals, build workplace skills, and succeed in competitive, integrated jobs. This community-based role includes hands-on coaching, employer collaboration, and timely documentation to meet program and funding requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Provide individualized, person-centered employment support by assessing each individual's interests, strengths, support needs, and employment goals. 
  • Develop and implement individualized employment and training plans that help individuals build skills and progress toward competitive, integrated employment. 
  • Deliver job readiness training including resume development, interview preparation, workplace expectations, and other pre-employment skill-building.
  • Identify employment opportunities that align with individual goals, abilities, interests, and local labor market needs.
  • Provide on-site and off-site job coaching to teach job tasks, promote independence, support workplace success, and improve job retention.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners to expand employment opportunities and support successful placements. 
  • Coordinate and communicate with individuals, employers, families, residential programs, schools, funding agencies, and other providers to address challenges and support person-centered planning. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, notes, and reports in compliance with agency expectations and OPWDD, ACCESS-VR, and other funding source requirements
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree
  • 2 years of experience - Vocational, Support Employment, Workforce Development, or Human Services 
  • Combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the program.
  • Possess a valid driver's license
