We're looking for experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join the overnight team at 1st Pet Veterinary Centers in Chandler.


Our overnight technicians play a critical role in caring for emergency and hospitalized patients throughout the night. You'll work alongside our veterinary team in a fast-paced environment where strong technical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and teamwork matter every shift.


We're especially interested in experienced technicians who are comfortable with emergency medicine, inpatient care, and the ICU environment.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide compassionate, timely care to emergency and hospitalized patients.


You'll:

• Provide attentive nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients.

• Monitor patients closely and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the veterinary team.

• Assist veterinarians with the care and treatment of emergency patients.

• Help prioritize patient-care needs as emergencies arrive and hospitalized patients require ongoing care.

• Maintain accurate and organized patient information and communicate effectively with the medical team.

• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members during busy and rapidly changing situations.

• Communicate with compassion and professionalism when supporting pet parents during stressful, emotional, and difficult situations.

• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, cleanliness, and organization.

• Use your existing emergency skills while continuing to learn and develop professionally.

Requirements

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR


This position is designed for an experienced veterinary technician who can contribute confidently in an emergency and inpatient environment.


REQUIRED


• Minimum 3 years of emergency or inpatient veterinary care experience.


• Strong patient-care skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency hospital environment.


• Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and teammates.


• Ability to remain organized, attentive, and dependable while managing changing patient-care priorities.


• Availability to work overnight shifts of 10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. on varied days.


STRONGLY PREFERRED


• CVT, LVT, or RVT credential.


• Experience working with hospitalized and ICU patients.

Salary Description
$20 -$28/hour depending on experience
