The JOB:

As Senior Catering Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to sell and create memorable experiences for our guests at Estancia La Jolla. This role is responsible for both Catering sales and service and is the key liaison between the client and the hotel to provide execution and supervision of meeting and event banquet functions and hotel room blocks. The Catering Sales Manager responds promptly to inquiries, conducts site visits, and provides detailed event orders, diagrams, and resumes for social and corporate groups, focusing on Weddings and Social Market. This role will provide exceptional service for maximum re-booking achievement and upsell for profitability and unforgettable experiences. This is a highly visible role in which you directly impact the guests visit and have the ability to create memories that will last a lifetime!

Requirements

Requirements:

Refined verbal and written communication skills

2+ years’ experience in Catering Sales and Service with social and corporate groups, Weddings, and Social Market.

Strong time management skills and proven demonstration of grace under pressure

Possess solid knowledge of hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Ability and experience in successfully selling and working in a high volume, time sensitive environment. Ability to learn, follow and maintain effective sale processes designed to attain maximum revenue while ensuring adherence to established operating criteria.

Completes all required training as scheduled.

Strong knowledge of sales techniques with strong skills and ability to negotiate and close sales desired.

Requires good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word and Excel) and ability to learn and operate other hotel computer systems. Delphi FDC experience desired.

Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
