Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervision designation (LISW-S) to serve as a Supervisor for our Family Case Management and Counseling teams.
This role provides supportive clinical and administrative supervision while allowing the supervisor to remain connected to direct service through a small, manageable caseload. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven social worker who enjoys mentoring staff, ensuring high-quality services, and contributing to a collaborative, trauma-informed environment.
An active Ohio LISW-S is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and team clinical supervision to Family Case Managers and dependent licensed counselors
- Support staff in treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and evidence-based, trauma-informed practices
- Monitor and support clinical documentation, productivity, and compliance standards
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations (3-month and annual)
- Maintain a small caseload (approximately 10%) to remain engaged in direct service work
- Collaborate with agency leadership and community partners to coordinate care and improve client outcomes
- Utilize outcome data and feedback to support continuous quality improvement
- Active Ohio LISW-S (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of mental health experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to mentor, guide, and support clinical staff
- Knowledge of community behavioral health systems
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards
- Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required insurance
