A bit about the role:

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Technology & Innovation leader to lead All In One Accounting's technology strategy and innovation initiatives. This pivotal leadership role combines strategic planning with practical implementation, driving technological advancement while ensuring operational excellence. As the VP, Technology and Innovation, you'll shape the future of our technology landscape while optimizing our current systems and applications.

This role demands a unique blend of strategic vision and tactical expertise, overseeing both our internal technology operations and driving innovation that supports our mission of transforming how businesses and nonprofits approach finance and accounting.

Core responsibilities:

Technology Operations & Strategy

• Develop and execute comprehensive technology strategy aligned with AIOA's mission and growth objectives
• Provide strategic guidance on technology investments and digital transformation efforts
• Oversee technology operations, including infrastructure, applications, and security
• Drive the evaluation and implementation of new systems and infrastructure
• Oversee technology infrastructure, applications, and integrations
• Lead MSP relationship and ensure optimal support delivery
• Own the company’s cybersecurity strategy and risk posture, ensuring appropriate governance, controls, and incident response capabilities
• Define and maintain BC/DR strategies that ensure operational resilience and rapid from disruptions
• Partner with executive leadership and third parties to assess, test, and continuously improve security and resilience capabilities
• Prepare technology foundation for future acquisitions
• Participate as member of Leadership Team, representing Technology

AI & Automation Strategy

• Identify and implement AI/automation opportunities that create measurable efficiency gains
• Lead technological innovation initiatives that enhance our service delivery and operational efficiency
• Build framework for evaluating, testing, and scaling automation across operations
• Move quickly from concept to pilot to implementation — we value speed to results
• Leverage financial technology expertise to enhance AIOA's service delivery capabilities
• Identify and implement solutions that support our accounting and finance operations
• Ensure technology solutions meet the specific needs of accounting professionals
• Evaluate and recommend financial technology solutions for both internal use and client service delivery

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, Manage, Accountability for technology team
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to understand and support their technology needs
• Guide the evolution of the technology team structure as the organization grows
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

The successful candidate will have:

• 7-12 years technology leadership experience in growth-stage companies
• Proven track record implementing AI/automation that drove measurable business results
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, vendor management, and MSP relationships
• Team development experience — you've grown junior talent into strong contributors
• Excellence in communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary:
•  $150,000 - $180,000
• Bonus:
• Participation in annual bonus program
• Up to 20% of salary
