JOB TITLE:  Simulation Systems Technician III (Lead)

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None 


The Simulation Systems Technician III (Lead) oversees the technical maintenance and readiness of C-5 Training System devices and provides day-to-day leadership for the maintenance team. This role performs advanced troubleshooting and guides the team to ensure devices meet all performance and contractual requirements.

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance operations for all assigned training devices. 

• Perform advance diagnostics and complex repairs at the system and subsystem level. 

• Mentor Simulation Systems Technician I/II personnel and part-time technicians, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards 

• Identify “significant” device modifications, assign complexity codes, and define training requirements and durations for technicians in accordance with PWS guidance 

• Manage or support configuration management, spares management, and maintenance planning activities. 

• At some locations, perform Site ISSO duties, including coordination of cybersecurity patches and scans. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 Education and/or Experience: The following are the requisite education and/or experience required to qualify for the position as a Simulation Systems Technician III (Lead).    

  

· Typically, 5-10 years of experience maintaining simulators or complex training systems. 

· Demonstrated experience in a senior, lead, or supervisory maintenance role. 

· Strong technical understanding of both hardware and software aspects of simulation systems.

· Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, if required.
