CNC Setup II
Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to operate CNC lathes in a production environment. This role focuses on running established programs, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. Machine setup and programming are not required


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes using pre-set programs and tooling

• Load raw materials into CNC lathe

• Unload finished parts and check for dimensional accuracy using tools such as a micrometer, a pitch micrometer, gauge pins, thread gauges, calipers, etc.

• Check sealing surfaces for visual defects such as chatter, tool marks, nicks, dings, etc.

• Start, stop, and monitor machine cycles to ensure proper operation

• Maintain material traceability

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Accurately complete required production and quality documentation


Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC machines. 

• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and blueprints

• Experience using hand measuring tools, especially micrometers

• Strong attention to detail

• Dependable attendance and punctuality



  

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.

• Two+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred.


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Prolonged periods of standing at a machine, wearing PPE such as safety glasses and safety shoes

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machine areas
