Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care. Your expertise will be vital in assessing patients, developing personalized anesthetic plans, and ensuring comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical ophthalmic procedures.
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, during anesthesia administration.
  • Adjust anesthetic dosages and techniques based on patient response and surgical requirements.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting anesthesia procedures and patient responses.
  • Educate patients and families about anesthesia processes and post-operative care.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and safety protocols in anesthesia administration.
  • Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering life-saving medications, and performing CPR if necessary.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain certification and enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

  • State of Florida, Current and unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
  • Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an ambulatory surgery care center, preferably in ophthalmology
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
