We are seeking a highly technical CNC Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate CNC lathes and machining centers to produce quality parts in accordance with production schedules, drawings, and work instructions. This role focuses on machine operation, basic setup, quality checks, and teamwork to support daily production goals. No CNC programming or leadership experience is required. The CNC Machine Operator is expected to participate in continuous improvement efforts actively, follow standard work, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Primary Job Duties
- Operate CNC lathes and machining centers according to established programs, work instructions, and safety standards
- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling as required for production runs
- Perform basic machine setups and adjustments within defined parameters
- Monitor machine operation to ensure parts meet quality specifications
- Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, or process deviations to the appropriate personnel
- Follow production schedules and communicate job status or delays to the Value Stream Manager or Machining team
- Complete required production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately
- Support 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the machining area
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards

Education, Experience, Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate CNC machinery using existing programs
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, routings, and basic part drawings
- Comfortable using basic measuring and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and use production systems and technology (e.g., warehouse or manufacturing systems)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior CNC machine operation experience is a plus, but not required
- On-the-job training will be provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs with or without assistance
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
