About the Role  

DeliverIt Group is urgently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge to conduct daily pharmacy operations, ensure medication safety, support patient care, and uphold compliance with all regulations. This role is ideal for a clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a direct impact on patient well-being and operational excellence. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in full compliance with State board of pharmacy and federal regulations (DEA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Supervise pharmacy workflows, inventory control, and maintain adequate stock while reducing expired drugs.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists.
  • Perform traditional pharmacist duties, including prescription verification, patient counseling, and medication therapy management.
  • Manage drug budgets, inventory accuracy, and assist with payroll and financial reports.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
  • Current Texas Pharmacy Board License required.
  • Experience in community marketing and healthcare networking is required.
  • Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, etc.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pharmacy information systems (e.g., PioneerRx, MatchRx, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach are required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is a must.
  • Integrity and compassion are required.
  • Ability to administer vaccinations in compliance with best practices.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, including medication storage and recalls.
  • Ability to create compound medication for individual patient needs.
  • Proficiency with medication therapy management (MTM) to educate patients on their prescriptions.
  • Familiarity with best dispensing practices.
