Security Officer Lead

The Security Lead Officer supervises assigned departmental staff and oversees operations during a given shift. This role works closely with the Security Manager to develop, train, and supervise staff.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Provide excellent guest service and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and training to the Security team.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and adapt to rapid changes in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
  • Minimum of two years of casino security experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Proficient in using computer hardware and software for accurate report writing.
  • Ability to write detailed, unbiased reports based on direct observation of incidents.
  • Must be able to pass Armed Guard training
  • Must hold and maintain a Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit issued by a political subdivision of the State of Nevada.
  • Alternatively, must be able to obtain a CCW permit within 130 days from the date of offer.
  • Must be able requalify CCW permit periodically as determined by the company
Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand or walk for the entire shift and access all areas of the property.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, crouch, stretch, kneel, climb, twist, and crawl without restrictions.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to push and/or pull up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to converse over the telephone in environments with loud background noise.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Ability to handle multiple guests demands simultaneously.
  • When on the casino floor, must tolerate exposure to secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
