Plant Superintendent - Reycyling
Description

The Plant Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of the work activities including necessary resources for safely manufacturing products in accordance with Cost, Quality and Quantity specifications in partnership with Recycling Engineer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

  • Continually improving safety records by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety behaviors. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Maintain the facility in compliance with external and internal regulations.
  • Plan, organize and direct production activities to ensure the most effective return on assets.
  • Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, consumables,      equipment, facilities and material.
  • Assure attainment of plant KPI’s while ensuring product standards meeting our customers’ expectations.
  • Work in partnership with Recycling Engineer, responsible for technical aspect of process, maintenance of plant and machinery.
  • Ensure Yard management and control on incoming material.
  • Ensure culture of accountability, ownership and feedback mechanism in the plant
  • Ensure team development by upskilling and performance review mechanism.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment in Supervisory/ Manager role
  • Experience with Lean principles and Operational Excellence.
  • Knowledge and experience in end-to-end production, quality and logistics process.
  • Knowledge in operations include production planning and expense management.
  • Hands-on management style with a value driven work ethic, safety first approach, high level of energy, enthusiasm, and personal ownership.
  • People Leadership with proven ability to manage different stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience: MS Office, SAP
  • Cross cultural working experience is an advantage. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Shift Lead, QC Technician, Logistic Coordinator and operators.


LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Excellent verbal and written in English.

Fluent in English. 

Fluent in Spanish is an advantage.


SKILLS

Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email is required. 


PHYSICAL

Potential for extended periods of standing/walking in and around the production facility.

Potential for long periods of sedentary computer data analysis.

Under some circumstances, will be required to be “On Call” for this 24/7/365 production facility. 

Salary Description
$95,000 - $105,000
