Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a high-acuity PreOp/PACU assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

This role supports a nationally recognized heart hospital, specializing in complex cardiovascular and surgical recovery.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a fast-paced, high-acuity PACU environment requiring strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and experience managing post-operative cardiac patients.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• Night shift | 3x12s (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM)
• On-call required (weeknights and weekends)
• Self-scheduling model

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,233 per week
• W2: $21.00 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide Phase I PACU recovery care
• Monitor and stabilize post-operative cardiac patients
• Manage airway, sedation recovery, and hemodynamic status
• Care for patients following complex cardiac and vascular procedures
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and ICU
• Document in Epic EMR

SURGICAL CASE EXPOSURE
• CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
• AAA repair
• TAVR and EVAR procedures
• Peripheral vascular bypass procedures
• Cardiac ablations and angiograms
• Thoracic and pulmonary procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Phase I PACU / PreOp
• Cardiac specialty hospital
• Adult patient population
• Ratios: 1:1 (days) | 1:2 (nights)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• PACU experience REQUIRED
• PreOp experience REQUIRED

Clinical Requirements:
• Strong Phase I recovery experience
• Experience with post-anesthesia care and airway management
• Cardiac or high-acuity surgical recovery experience preferred

Certifications:
• BLS REQUIRED
• ACLS PREFERRED

Additional Requirements:
• Epic EMR experience REQUIRED
• Active compact or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
• Ability to take call and work nights

Important Notes:
• ICU or OR-only experience without PACU will NOT qualify
• Must be comfortable in high-acuity recovery environment
