Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Phase I PACU assignment at a large academic medical center in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a high-acuity recovery environment supporting complex surgical patients requiring ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and advanced post-anesthesia care.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• Night shift – 3x12s (19:00–07:30)
• Weekend requirement: 1–2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• No RTO accepted: 02/15/26 – 02/28/26
• Self-scheduling model

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,233 per week
• W2: $21.00 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week
• Locals accepted at same rate

UNIT OVERVIEW
• Phase I PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
• 20-bed unit
• Daily census: 30–50 patients
• Adult and geriatric population
• Academic / teaching hospital environment

PATIENT RATIOS
• Days: 1:2
• Nights: 1:2
• Weekends: 1:2

CLINICAL EXPOSURE
• Bariatric, cardiac, ENT, general, GYN, neuro, ophthalmology, ortho, vascular
• Ventilated patients
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Multiple anesthesia types: general, MAC, regional, spinal

ENVIRONMENT
• Fast-paced, high-acuity surgical recovery unit

REQUIRED (HARD STOPS – DO NOT SUBMIT WITHOUT ALL):
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• STRONG PACU experience REQUIRED (Phase I preferred)
• Ventilator experience REQUIRED
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience REQUIRED

CERTIFICATIONS:
• BLS REQUIRED
• ACLS REQUIRED
• NIHSS REQUIRED
• CCRN preferred

CLINICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Post-anesthesia recovery (Phase I)
• Ventilator management
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Recovery from multiple anesthesia types
• High-acuity patient monitoring

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Epic or comparable EMR experience REQUIRED
• Ability to work night shift (3x12s)
• Weekend rotation required
• Ability to function in fast-paced academic setting

• RTO must be submitted at time of submission
• No RTO accepted between 02/15/26 – 02/28/26
