Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for an oncology-focused PCU / stepdown assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

This unit specializes in acute leukemia and medical oncology patients requiring telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, and high-volume supportive care.

IMPORTANT: Oncology experience is NOT required — the unit will train the right candidate. Strong Med-Surg / Telemetry or PCU background is key.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 16-week contract
• Night shift | 3x12-hour shifts
• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Self-scheduling available (no block scheduling)
• Weekend requirements based on unit needs
• Floating required to Med-Surg Oncology units

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,359 per week
• W2: $24.50 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

UNIT OVERVIEW
• 15 East – Acute Leukemia Unit
• 24-bed oncology stepdown unit
• Adult and geriatric population
• Average census: ~22 patients
• Ratios: 1:4 (may flex to 1:5)

CLINICAL FOCUS
• Acute leukemia and oncology patients
• Blood transfusions and IV antibiotics
• Electrolyte replacement and supportive care
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Central line and port management
• Infection prevention protocols
• Fall prevention strategies

ENVIRONMENT
• High-volume academic teaching hospital
• Strong team-based support
• Oncology training available for strong candidates

• Minimum 2 years RN experience REQUIRED
• PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or Stepdown experience REQUIRED
• Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation REQUIRED
• Experience with blood product administration REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS REQUIRED
• Epic EMR experience REQUIRED
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred:
• Oncology experience
• NIHSS certification
• ONS chemotherapy certification
• Previous travel experience

Important Notes:
• Oncology experience NOT required – unit will train
• First-time travelers must be screened prior to submission
• Floating required to oncology Med-Surg units
• RTO must be submitted with application
• Locals accepted at same rate
