Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a high-acuity PCU Oncology assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a true PCU-level oncology unit with complex patients requiring telemetry monitoring, oncology-specific interventions, and advanced clinical judgment in a fast-paced academic environment.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 16-week contract
• Day or Night shift available | 3x12s
• Day: 07:00–19:30
• Night: 19:00–07:30
• Self-scheduling (no block scheduling)
• Weekend requirements based on unit needs
• Floating required within equivalent or lower acuity units

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,359 per week
• W2: $24.50 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

UNIT OVERVIEW
• 18 James – Oncology Telemetry / PCU
• 36-bed unit with 24+ PCU-designated beds
• High-acuity PCU with minimal Med-Surg crossover
• Adult and geriatric population
• Ratios:
  – PCU: 1:3
  – Med-Surg Tele: 1:4–1:5

CLINICAL FOCUS
• Solid tumor oncology (thoracic, orthopedic, general oncology)
• Chemotherapy and oncology-related emergencies
• Cytokine release syndrome
• Blood transfusions and IV antibiotic therapy
• Insulin and heparin drips
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Infection prevention and fall risk management

ENVIRONMENT
• High-volume academic teaching hospital
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration
• PCU-trained core staff
• Structured onboarding and orientation

• High-acuity PCU experience REQUIRED (no exceptions)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience REQUIRED
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS REQUIRED
• Epic EMR experience REQUIRED
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred:
• Oncology experience
• ONS chemotherapy certification
• Previous travel experience

Important Notes:
• This is a TRUE PCU-level oncology unit (not entry-level PCU)
• Must be comfortable with high-acuity oncology patients
• Floating required within equivalent or lower acuity units
• RTO must be submitted with application
• Locals accepted at same rate
