The Courier at Bliley’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Center assists with daily transportation among our branch locations, as well as other errands as needed. In addition to the sacred work of transferring decedents from our central Care Center to and from branch locations or to our cremation center, the Courier assists with the pick-up and delivery of death certificates, as well as the delivery of signage, flags, linens for laundering, and interoffice mail. Additionally, this individual works closely with Dispatchers to anticipate future needs and ensure operational efficiency.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Safe and respectful transportation of deceased persons from central Care Center to and from branch locations or to the Cremation Center 
• Timely pick-up of death certificates from the Health Department with subsequent delivery to locations 
• Delivery of internal documents and other interoffice mail 
• Delivery of signs for ceremonies, etc. 
• Delivery of flags and linens for laundering 
• Other errands as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Significant ability to work independently
• Well-groomed with a neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Good driving record
• Basic computer and administrative skills
• Required to lift and carry up to 70 pounds on a regular basis and lift and carry up to 100 pounds as needed
• Follows directions
• Good time management
