The Sr. Account Manager serves as the primary owner and advocate for assigned client relationships, acting as the central point of contact from project pursuit through completion and ongoing post-installation support. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth while managing client expectations and orchestrating internal and external teams to deliver successful project outcomes. The Sr. Account Manager leads sales strategy within assigned accounts, supports business development efforts, and oversees the commercial and project lifecycle—including budgeting, pricing, margin management, coordination of internal resources, and collaboration with vendors and industry partners. This position works closely with Design, Project Management, Finance, and external partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently, meet client goals, and uphold KBM Hogue’s standards of quality and service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Client Ownership & Sales Leadership
- Own and manage assigned client relationships, serving as the trusted advisor throughout the full project lifecycle and beyond.
- Qualify, secure, and expand business within assigned and self-generated accounts through proactive relationship management and strategic engagement.
- Support business development efforts by participating in RFPs, client interviews, presentations, and pre-project selling activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with A&D firms, industry influencers, and key client stakeholders.
Commercial & Financial Accountability
- Develop accurate budgets, pricing structures, and proposals for products, labor, and services.
- Negotiate pricing and discounts in alignment with company guidelines and leadership input as required.
- Actively manage projects to safeguard and improve profitability, mitigating margin erosion through scope control, change management, and disciplined execution.
- Manage sales forecasting and maintain accurate CRM (Zendesk) entries for assigned accounts.
Project Oversight & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead and coordinate internal KBM Hogue resources, including Design, Project Management, Project Coordination, Marketing, Finance, and vendors, to ensure project success.
- Oversee planning, programming, order fulfillment, installation, and closeout activities in collaboration with field project management.
- Attend pre-install, construction, and project meetings as required; ensure site readiness through appropriate site visits and field verification.
- Ensure timely completion of punch lists, client sign-offs, deposits, purchase orders, and required documentation.
Client Satisfaction & Account Development
- Assure a thorough project closeout and product orientation to the satisfaction of the client.
- Support resolution of post-installation service, warranty, or performance issues.
- Maintain ongoing client engagement, educating customers on new products, dealer services, and future opportunities.
- Penetrate accounts by developing relationships across departments and identifying new business opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Maintain a mentorship mindset by supporting, coaching, and assisting in the development of junior account managers and team members.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and collaborative planning discussions.
- Attend product, sales, and industry training to maintain professional expertise and market knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful account management, sales, or project-based client services experience, preferably in the contract furniture or related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts, pricing, and profitability with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; highly collaborative and client-focused.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and KBM Hogue’s core values.
- Proficiency with standard business software and CRM systems.
- Availability for evening or weekend work as project needs require.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Travel up to 5%, including local office and client site visits; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Work Schedule: 100% remote or hybrid with a minimum of three (3) on-site days per week

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $85,000–$120,000 annually. This range represents the base salary that KBM Hogue reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting and is provided as a good-faith estimate. The posted range does not guarantee a specific salary or an offer at any particular point within the range. Actual base salary will be determined based on job-related factors, which may include the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and work location.
This position may also be eligible for additional compensation under KBM Hogue’s Sales Compensation Plan, which may include commission and/or bonus opportunities based on applicable plan terms.
