Christ the King Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado seeks a faithful, joyful, and mission-driven Evangelization team member to focus on our Theology program and help build an authentic Catholic culture rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ at both the Parish and Parish School. This role is essential to fostering holy relationships within both the parish and school communities and plays a vital role in advancing the Pastor’s vision for evangelization, discipleship, and sacramental life through leadership, formation, and relationship-building.
The Theology Program Lead serves as a visible and credible witness to the Catholic faith, exercising sound theological knowledge and independent judgment to help form disciples who know, love, and live Christ through intentional relationships, theological formation, and active participation in parish and school life. This role requires initiative, collaboration, and flexibility in service of parish and school priorities.
Parish & Evangelization Leadership
· Collaborate closely with the Director of Evangelization to implement the Pastor’s strategic vision for evangelization across parish and school communities Serve as an active member of the evangelization team, contributing to strategic planning and execution of parish initiatives.
· Plan, coordinate and help lead parish-wide events, retreats, Bible studies, and seasonal evangelization efforts throughout the liturgical year
· Serve as a core member of the Evangelization Team, contributing professional insight, planning, and leadership to parish-wide initiatives.
Sacramental Preparation
· Contribute to the design, coordination, and facilitation of Sacramental Preparation programs, supporting children and families.
· Foster meaningful relationships with families preparing for the sacraments, emphasizing accompaniment and catechesis.
· Apply theological training to support the faith formation of children and parents.
School Theology Program
· Assume primary responsibility for the development, oversight, and ongoing improvement of the theology program at Christ the King School as a parish representative.
· Collaborate closely with school leadership and teachers to ensure theological instruction is faithful to Church teaching and aligned with parish life.
· Provide theology lessons for students in grades 1–8, modeling a joyful and reverent Catholic faith.
Youth & Community Engagement
· Assist in leading youth ministry events and activities that promote discipleship, community, and spiritual growth.
· Build strong, holy relationships with students, families, parishioners, and staff through presence, mentorship, and pastoral care.
- Demonstrated theological knowledge and experience sufficient to exercise independent judgment in evangelization, catechesis, and ministry leadership.
- Proven ability to plan, lead and evaluate ministry initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Strong relational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, youth, adults, families, staff, and clergy.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with parish and school leadership while taking ownership of assigned areas of responsibility.
- Experience in parish ministry, evangelization, catechesis, youth ministry, Catholic education, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, and adapt to the needs of the parish and school.
- Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)
- Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, and conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or teachings.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, Catholic Studies, Education, or a closely related field.

The salary for this position is $57,800. The position will be posted until January 15, 2026.
