The Position: 

Responsible for grounds maintenance and landscaping of the property, including the operation of all maintenance equipment, proper horticulture practices for turf maintenance, proper pruning techniques, fertility requirements for shrubs, trees, grass, and the water needs of the landscaping and irrigation systems.  Assist with the pumping of waste. 

  • Mows lawns weekly and edges every other week during the growing season and periodically in the off season.  
  • Prunes shrubs and trees as needed. 
  • Applies herbicides and pesticides as needed and removes dead plant material. 
  • Fertilizes lawns five times a year and shrubs twice yearly. 
  • Services and programs the irrigation system, including maintaining sprinkler heads and water system.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED Certificate preferred. 
  • 1 year of gardening or landscaping experience. 
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills. 
  • Analytical/mathematics skills are essential. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. 
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks at once in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to obtain a Class I Gaming License. 
  • Current and valid Oregon Driver’s License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program. 
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available.)
