The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming equipment and parts, picking and filling orders from stock, and managing, purchasing, organizing and retrieving stock for jobs. A desired candidate is hardworking, organized, self-motivated, and willing to take direction to perform other tasks, when needed within the company.
Responsibilities
Purchasing, stocking and ordering parts and equipment
Welcome and assist with deliveries
Ensure shipments received are placed in the proper job staging shelf and/or department
Stage parts and equipment according to service tickets
Perform regular audits of inventory and update company systems to reflect inventory on-hand
Ensure warehouse is organized and clean – ground is clear of debris, empty boxes are broken down and disposed of, shelves are organized, etc.
Travel to cities and townhalls and complete required plans and permit tasks daily
Operate merchandise management tools appropriately (i.e., forklift)
Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Valid Driver’s License
High School diploma or GED
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiple times a day
Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions
Adhere to safety rules
Reliable: utilize company credit card for parts and other company needs appropriately
Punctual: willing to start work at your scheduled time, end work at your scheduled time
Timely: completes service order request prior to technician arriving for pick-up
Organized: actively seeks to create more efficient and structured processes for the warehouse
Customer Service Orientation: responsive to service requests and issues
Decent Communication Skills: expresses self clearly and effectively when speaking
Self-Motivated: able to stay on task and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Willing to learn additional aspects of the company (i.e., assist with alarm testing, dispose of extinguishers properly, etc.)
Desire and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
Two (2) years of prior work experience
Experience in fire protection
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience working in Profit Zoom and Paylocity
Understanding of fire systems, parts and equipment
