Overview:
We are seeking a GIS Intern to support our telecommunications and utilities GIS operations. This role offers hands-on experience using GIS tools, working with real data, and contributing to key business processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with Sales Cost Estimates (SCE) using documented GIS workflows
- Collect and apply 811 locate data to support asset protection
- Perform basic spatial analysis to assist operational teams
- Create monthly locate screen rate reports by territory
- Conduct QA/QC data audits in ArcGIS Online and GeoHub
- Participate in weekly team meetings and scheduled learning & development sessions

Requirements
- Rising junior or senior in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with ArcGIS tools preferred (coursework accepted)
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization
