Position Summary:
Coatings Technicians inspect and repair coatings applied to different materials in effort to maintain corrosion resistance, waterproofing and surface protection of various types of materials.
Can sometimes require overnights and an expectation of travel including hotel stay
A Coatings Technician - must:
- Be willing/able to assist in equipment/site setup and maintenance
- Be willing/able to lift and move objects up to a weight of 50lbs and take part in a team lift and move of objects greater than 50lbs
- Be willing/able to partake short term travel for projects
- Have basic understanding and skills in the use of hand and power tools
- Be organized and assist in maintaining work site safety and cleanliness

- Entry Level Position – Will train
- NGA Coatings related qualifications or equivalent
- Experience in surface preparation and coating applications
- Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year
- Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Ability to load, carry, lift, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required.
