As a Behavioral Coach, you will play a vital role in helping young people build skills, confidence, and resilience while providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment. Working as part of a dedicated youth-care team, you will provide supervision, guidance, behavior coaching, life-skills instruction, and positive role modeling to residents.

Behavioral Coaches partner with youth to support their individualized service plans, encourage personal growth, and help them achieve success socially, emotionally, academically, and physically. Through meaningful relationships and consistent support, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact during a critical time in a young person's life.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide awake supervision for residents to ensure safety and monitor behavior (including meals).
  • Maintains a structured, consistent, orderly program according to schedule.
  • Adheres to and enforces program rules and policies and applies behavior management   system.
  • Guides residents, teaches, and participates with residents in an assortment of activities including outings, facility and equipment cleaning, grounds maintenance, equipment relocation, life skills, homework, time management, meal preparation, and other events.
  • Participates in Adventure-Based Counseling (ABC) activities, as applicable.
  • Serves as a positive role model for residents.
  • Prevents resident altercations and elopements through early intervention and use of behavior modification techniques

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Minimum high school graduate/equivalent or has attained a higher level of education. Experience working with at-risk youth preferred.


List of Other Minimum Requirements:

Current CPR and First Aid certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire. Possess a Florida driver's license and meet the authorized driver qualifications as set forth by the Association and its insurance carrier.   To maintain employment staff must work a minimum of 1 shift every 30 days. Exception requires approval of management
