Requirements

Position Title: Systems Administrator - Cyber Security Analyst

Reports to: Executive Vice President – Chief Technology and Innovation Officer

Position Type: Full-time

Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring effective integration of Information Technology systems and services with the Information Security Program and Information Security Policy. Work closely with other systems administrators and both Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) to ensure the bank’s infrastructure and systems are secure and functioning as designed.


Essential Functions:

  • Oversees and assists with maintaining base operating systems and security patches on all servers, workstations, mobile devices, and other network appliances.
  • Assists with maintaining infrastructure hardware inventory and supported documentation.
  • Responsible for working with MSP to ensure Anti-Malware applications are deployed on all assets and definitions are up to date.
  • Responsible for working with MSSPs to ensure network edge appliances (IDS/IPS, Firewall, etc.) are functioning as designed and alerts receive prompt attention.
  • Schedules and reviews regular cybersecurity reports (i.e., IDS/IPS, event logs, firewalls, cyber incidents)
  • Reviews the latest security alerts, threat landscape and information sharing services to determine relevancy and urgency.
  • Responds to all security alerts and assists with their technical resolution if applicable to our environment. Works with MSSP to respond timely to all notifications of abnormalities detected.
  • Assists systems administrators with management of the bank’s cloud applications (including but not limited to Atera, Barracuda, Meraki, Microsoft, etc)
  • Oversees help desk support, which includes remediation or escalation of service tickets, as well as keeping internal and external resources up to date on ticket progress.
  • Schedules periodic vulnerability assessment scans and review reports. Assists in remediation efforts with systems administrators and MSP coordination.
  • Responsible for overall Information Technology (IT) employee education and training.
  • Responsible for communicating all IT-related events to employees.
  • Participates in information security and information technology audits and oversees penetration testing of all networks and systems to identify system and application vulnerabilities.
  • Assists with cybersecurity risk assessment and related work program.
  • Compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
  • Occasional travel required.
