Description
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and design documents to develop detailed cost estimates
- Lead cost estimation, budgeting, bid leveling, and value engineering efforts
- Develop and manage preconstruction schedules and risk assessments
- Coordinate with design teams in design-build and design-assist environments
- Prepare and present estimates, budgets, and value options to clients and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Partner with project teams to align scope, budget, and schedule prior to construction
- Utilize industry-leading software tools to manage estimating and preconstruction workflows
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to preconstruction team members
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of construction experience with 5+ years in preconstruction
- Strong expertise in:
- Cost estimating, budgeting, bid leveling, and value engineering
- Project planning, scheduling, coordination, and risk management
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or manufacturing projects (highly preferred)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Proficiency in construction software including:
- Destini Estimator
- Procore
- OST
- Bluebeam
- BuildingConnected
- Pipeline Suite
