CHEST is looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team under our internship program for Summer 2026. The goal of this program is to help further develop your skills in a professional business setting, better preparing you for your future career.
As an intern, you will be working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks. Interns will be able to apply classroom-based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career-ready. CHEST interns will have the opportunity to CRUSH LUNG DISEASE by working alongside experienced, passionate professionals in a flexible, innovative, mission-driven hybrid environment.

Main responsibilities:
- The intern will help the Program Strategy team with projects across Accreditation, Certification, and Outcomes.
- Accreditation – organize CHEST accreditation materials and develop matrix of information/materials needed in advance of next accreditation cycle.
- Certification – work with data and UX teams to develop external-facing, interactive dashboard.
- Outcomes – support data analysis and development of reports/presentations for Certification-related outcomes.
- Main responsibilities will include data entry/analysis, document/file organization, and development of reports, presentations, and dashboards.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a preferred major in Business Administration, Health Sciences or Social Sciences
- Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service orientation and collaborative attitude.
- Desire to learn about the foundations of working in a professional setting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience and comfort with AI a plus.
Additional Information:
The hourly pay for this position is $20 per hour. This position is anticipated to work 30 hours per week, in a hybrid work environment.
