Overview

 

The Draw and Remote Inspection Quality Specialist is responsible for both the administration of remote progress inspections and the quality assurance of all inspection reports. This role administers remote progress inspections utilizing video call technology, creates detailed reports based on virtual walkthroughs, and ensures the quality and completeness of these self-generated remote inspection reports. Additionally, the specialist performs comprehensive quality control reviews of progress inspection reports submitted by independent inspection companies, verifying accuracy, quality, and adherence to established standards and client agreements.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Administers remote progress inspections utilizing video call technology, guiding point-of-contact individuals through the process and ensuring comprehensive visual documentation is captured.
  • Creates detailed and accurate inspection reports based on the observations and documentation gathered during remote inspections.
  • Performs comprehensive quality control reviews of all progress inspection reports (both self-generated remote reports and those submitted by independent inspection companies) to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established report requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensures that all reports meet established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and quality targets.
  • Meets department productivity targets.
  • Provides timely communication with stakeholders regarding the status and quality of all inspection reports.
  • Proactively anticipates stakeholder needs, makes appropriate recommendations, and collaborates with other teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Handles escalations regarding report quality and ensures timely resolution.
  • Maintains and improves quality control documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvement.
  • Stays up-to-date on changes to industry standards, company policies, and lender guidelines related to all inspection types.
  • May assist with other departmental functions as needed.
Requirements

 

Qualifications

 

  • Familiarity with quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of construction stages, trades, and terminology, and the ability to assess and articulate observations clearly and accurately in written reports based on various forms of documentation and direct virtual observation.
  • Proficiency with software, including reviewing digital documents, video, and images, familiarity with video conferencing platforms, and strong skills in generating clear, concise, and high-quality written reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience providing customer service to business clients, including the ability to professionally guide individuals through a remote inspection process and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with construction lending is a plus.
  • Work Schedule 8-5 pm EST
  • **Sunday Required: Half day on Monday; 1/2 day on Sunday

Compensation: range is $22-25/hour, Full-time


The actual pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, and geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
