Description
We are seeking a licensed Electrical Responsible Managing Employee (RME) to oversee commercial electrical operations for a New Mexico licensed contractor. This pivotal role holds regulatory responsibility for ensuring compliance, providing supervision, and upholding the quality of all electrical work performed under the company’s license. The RME will oversee day-to-day electrical operations, ensure adherence to safety and code standards, and maintain the highest level of quality across our commercial electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, licensed electrical professional qualified under New Mexico CID requirements to act as the Qualifying Party.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) / Qualifying Party for electrical operations in New Mexico
- Ensure compliance with NM CID regulations, the NEC, and applicable state/local electrical and safety codes
- Provide technical oversight and direction for electrical installations, repairs, and project execution
- Maintain active, compliant New Mexico CID electrical licensure
- Oversee electrical operations and supervise electrical staff and subcontractors
- Conduct quality control inspections of electrical work, permits, and completed installations
- Maintain accurate documentation and support for permits, inspections, and electrical work records
- Stay current on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project goals and deadlines

Requirements
- Active New Mexico Electrical License (Journeyman or higher, CID-approved)
- Eligible to act as Qualifying Party / RME for a NM electrical contractor
- Minimum 4 or more years of verifiable and relevant commercial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC and New Mexico electrical codes
- Ability to work independently and provide supervisory oversight
- Pass a pre-employment background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience serving as an RME, Qualifying Party, or Electrical Manager
- Experience with commercial and/or multi-site electrical operations
- Willingness to work in a hybrid or consultative capacity if needed
