Mortgage Loan Originator

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Mortgage Loan Originator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for clients seeking mortgage financing, guiding them through the loan process from application to closing. Key Responsibilities:

- Meet with clients to assess their financial situation and determine their mortgage needs

- Explain loan options, terms, and conditions clearly to clients

- Collect and review necessary documentation to process loan applications

- Analyze credit reports, income, and assets to evaluate loan eligibility

- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure smooth loan approval process

- Maintain a high level of customer service and follow-up throughout the loan lifecycle

- Stay informed about current mortgage products, industry regulations, and market trends

- Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or similar role in mortgage banking or lending

- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending regulations, and compliance standards

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to analyze financial documents and assess creditworthiness

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Proficiency with loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Valid NMLS license or willingness to obtain one if required by state regulations

- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
